Since October 2025, I have been on a fact-finding mission investigating how to get a Zebra crossing (or any other safe crossing zone) installed near the top of Eastern Avenue in Shoreham by Sea, to allow safer road use for everyone

As many of us have experienced, Eastern Avenue is a very busy road especially at morning drop off & afternoon pickup times, with vehicles driving at excessive speed and, with rarely any consideration for the pupils & parents crossing.

To that end, in July 2026 I applied for a Community Highway Scheme (which was WSCCouncil's cut off for 2026 applications)

For the application to even be considered I need the continued help & support of the local community
